The ninth dance of the Hinemoa Quadrille assembly took place on Wednesday last, in the form of a long night, and was mort enjoyable. The supper was supplied by the ladies, and the music by the Hinemoa String Band, and both were all that could be desired. Amongst the ladies I noticed Miss Govern, who in pure white looked very nice; Miss Adlum, grey, with white sleeves, looked very graceful ; Misa Lough looked very nice in rose pink ; MiSB Buekland also looked nice in a pretty muslin with terra co'tta trimmings; Sliss"Kene Jackson, red dress trimmed with red plush ; Miss A Constant, black skirt, and red bodice with black sleeves; Miss A Anderson, white muslin, gold sash; Miss N Twohill, black with black bead trimmings ; Mrs Lough, fawn tweed trimmed with plush ; Mrs Love, pretty light skirt with white satin bodice trimmed with chiffon ; Miss Dalton, white and amber ; Miss Syms, brown velvet blouse, and brown skirt ; Miss Kelly, black and white ; Miss Gibson, black and gold; Miss — Gibson, grey ; Miss Brown looked nice in black, and others.
