Williamson and Musgrove have purchased the Australian rights of the new comic opera, • Tho Scarlet Feather,' They are also importing some new artists for the Royal Comic Opera Company. We regret that owing to pressure on our space, the account of the ladies' leap-year ball, held on Friday last in Mrs Sowerby's Hall, is unavoidably held over until next week. Mr F.J. Hammond announces elsewhere that he cannot, in justice to his business, devote the time necessary to carry on the contest for the Devonport Mayoralty, and has therefore withdrawn his candidature.
