rjIHE CITY OF AUCKLAND. ELECTION OP COUNCILLORS. EXTRAORDINARY VACANCY. In pursuance of the Municipal Corporations . Act, 1886, and the Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876, and the amendments thereof, Public Notice is hereby given that an Election of One Duly-qualified Councillor for the City of Auckland Council for the East Ward in the said City, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Councillor John Grey, will take place on THURSDAY, the 24th day of September, 1896. Nomination papers will be received for the vacancy in the said East Ward at the City of Auckland Council Office, Coburg-street, signed by two duly-qualified electors of the district, and by the Candidate in token of his assent to such nomination, addressed to the Returning Officer, and delivered on or before noon of TUESDAY, the ISth day of September, 1896.
