ELLERSLIE.
A very successful concert in aid of the Church of England vicarage was held in the hall on Friday evening, 6th inst., there being a crowded audience. Herr Zimmermann, who gave two violin solos, afforded an especial treat. Other items well rendered were: 'KiUarney,' Mrs Maxwell; 'Home, Dearie, Home,' Mrs Coates ; ' Ora Pro Nobis, 1 Miss Vera Moody; 'Dear Home Land,' Mr Reg. Burch ; ' Fiddle and I,' K'ev. W. E. Gillan ; and an amusing comic song by Mr Chas. White. Mr Alf. Bartley gave a pianoforte selection and also kindly accompanied the various items. An excellent programme was concluded with the amusing farce 'Area Belle,' in which the various parts were well taken by Misses D. and L. Thorpe and Messrs L. Hoffmann, N. Somerfield and F. Koller.
