J.M. says he will have to speculate in a cob, as the scoria roads play the dickens with boot leather.... E. Me. was shedding real tears on the wharf as the Giaborne boat went 0ut....D W. looked happy escorting B.S. home the other night. The O.M. was not far 0ff....T.R. looks down-hearted lately. Is it because L.D. has gone away. Cheer up, T. Better fish, etc.... Who was the young lady, that went to see the'Talune off. Did she have an onion in her pooket?...lsittrueM. says that the times are too bad to think of getting married ?...What will K.W. do when J.S. goes away ? Perhaps T.C. can console her ?...E.Mc. says he thinks that the Gisborne climate will suit him.
