MERCER.
Handkercheifs were at a premium when E. B. deserted us for a clime more genial. The O.M. wiped a few briny tears away from his own eyes when he heard her warble, ' 'Tis hard to part from those we love ' and when one of our very own responded 'With all her faults I love her still,' he just collapsed.... Why do the Te Eangi hoys keep away from this township now? Is there a suDerior attraction in Wairangi ?...Our esteemed R. says it is rather hard he cannot enjoy a walk without it being commented upon. All depends on who your companion is R.
