AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB AUTUMN MEETING.
The Auckland Trotting Club hold a two days' Autumn Meeting at Easter. The firßt day of the meeting falls due next Saturday, the 24th inst. The meeting concludes on Saturday, the 31st inst. There is ample material in the entries to ensure capital sport, and the acceptances for next Saturday's events are more than satisfactory. With the first day's events I have at present to do, and with some confidence due to past successes anticipatory, I hasten on with my reflections, only wishing the A.T.C. fine weather, which will certainly mean a good attendance and a successful autumn meeting. The meeting opens with the
Maiden Trot, H- miles, which I think will be fought out between Gwendoline and Corina or Maid of Killarney.
Flying Handicap, 5 furlongs. I like tiest Coquette 11., Rakau, and Pukete.
Eastbb Handicap Tbot, 2? milea. This is the big event of the day, for which there are nine acceptors. The event looks open, and I think a good race should result. Those which take my fancy most are— Clyde, 1 ; Sandfly, 2 ; Ruby or Little Ben, 3.
Atttuhn Handicap, 7 furlongs. — Lady May, 1 ; Gillie, 2 ; Helena or Florrie, 3.
Epsom Teot Handicap, two miles (in harness). The competitors using pneu-matic-tyred Bulkies are penalised 6 sees. Rosebud, 1 ; Sandfly, 2 ; Clyde, 3.
Httbdlss Handicap, 1£ miles. Pica, 1 ; Little Baven, 2 ; Butterfly or Helena, 3.
Yum Turn or
Electric Tbot, 1 mile Hurricane may win this.
