The girls look quite down-hearted since B.C. left for Mb holidays. Cheer -op girls, he will soon return.... J.C. vows that he will not go to St. Helier's Bay again, aa the sea air did not agree with him. Why did he not take Miss P. ? Ihe Kemuera dance was quite a success. Was it owing to the way the gentlemen waited at the supper table P.. .The last social afforded a most enjoyable evening, there being twentyeight couples present. The music was all that could be desired, being supplied by Messrs A. Cutler (violin) and W. Woods (piano). H. Hammond and E. Chiplau officiated as M.C.'s. Dancing was kept up till 3 a.m.... Did those three young ladies who broke into the supper room know the O.M. was on the alert? Be careful ladies, his eyes are very quick.... Who were the two young ladies the dark young man divided his dances with?.. .C.H. was very attentive to K. Mind yourself, C, F.C. is not far away.. ..Did the tall young lady enjoy the dance with the young man in the dress suit ?...What is the rumour about the young ladies going to pat the boys in the shade with a return ? The OM. may be present.
