The election caused quite an excitement here ; why should it not when little F.F. promised the old maids and widows that he svould find them husbands, providing he was the successful candidate. How nice little P.'s ladies committee looked in their, tan shoes. They ought to fetch something ...Who were the young ladies and gents spooning id the trucks coming 1 home from the picnic. Take a first-class carriage next time.. ..The Wellington guard and the Palmerston young lady were having a >jreat time turning the light on the couples that were spooning. Hard lines for O.P. and K P. ; better luck next time. Who were the couple left behind at the picnic ? Hard lines. ...The boys were greatly disappointed at not getting any cake at T. u,na M.'s wedding supper. It was put away for Christmas, boys.... J.D. and the Napier girl are soon going to tie the knot. What about E. i'...\Vho were tne three young men that slipped in at the toff ball ? A.ot like men and pay next time....J.M. and J.O. are still on the warpath. Better than bike riding, J.
