WHANGAREI.
The dance got up by the spinsters was a very tame affair, three ladies to one chap. Miss C. should arrange things better next time. W.D. has got the cage now, so look out boys. What about the late Walton-street handicap ? J.W.McG*. and Miss A. are soon to take a trip— a honeymoon one at that. H.S.H. pays great care now on the Bay of Islands road. Is it the widow or Miss B. ? Nothing like leather, H. When A.P. is leaving his love he sbouid take care and not kiss so hard or he might break her false teeth.
