The Mosquito.
P^The following essay, by a boy of ten years old, ifpbwß the fruits of Public School teaching in l&ifokland, at Christmas time : — K\A' little mosquito, when it left its ma, thought pijV'ppuld do a great deal to annoy men. So it gSfetit out on a journey and it stung many rich I linen; and then drank some of their blood ; and |||li'e r h. the young mosquito came and told his ma, j ||O,nave drunk the rich man's blood, and it has ||ma,cte me fat ; but I should like to get fatter." Sod his ma, said, "My son, go and drink the ||j||orijnan I s. blood," and he, like a good boy did ■M&T-te 1 drank lots of , poor men's blood, and got ||||aph fatter ; but at last he drank too much of" Illpe^Jast poor mane's blood and got too large. |||gUsttpoor man, whom be had nearly sucked dry, |||ftijmhjs hand aio'd killed that mosquito, and l^^^^as^a great splash of -blood on the wall young mosquito was killed.
