MANTON AND LOCHIEL.

ARRIVAL OF THE FOREIGN HORSES. The contingent ' who are to take part in the meeting arrived by the s.s. Te Anau on Monday, and were at once taken out to their quarters at Ellerslie. They comprised Manton (in. charge of. Mr P. Butler), Loehiel and Enid (in charge of D. Roberts), British Lion (in charge' of C. O'Connor), and Mangahaone and Remnant a two- year old colt by Robinson Crusoe— Patch (in charge of the Napier trainer, J. Munn). The jockeys Clifford, Hickey and Woods were also passengers. All of the horses are looking well, and have done serviceable . work since their arrival.
