HANGING BASKETS.
A very unique and pretty hanging basket can j' be made gui of a bright, .coloured Bilk_,handker-/ chief. Mark a circle of about a foot in diameter -', in the centre of the square. Make a running round the circle large enough to take a* fieee of wrapped wire,, run the wire through! the running, / and draw it close, fastening it into, ground about 8 inches in diameter, or close enough to, make a fairly deep basket ; now fasten a number of :. ribbon loops at intervals, long enough to suspend : the basket, from any point you wish— about a yard long is a good. length for the ribbons,- and this gives you a loop half a yarU'in length. ' . There should be about eight loops 'of rather narrow ribbon fastened to the basket at regular intervals. When completed, it forms a very pretty resting place for a spray or bouquet of artificial roses, or other flowers.
