RANGIRIRI BATTLERS.
Is the cattle-dealer going to cut poor Tom out ? It looked like it on Thursday. The opening of the new school at Rangiriri on Monday, the 25th, was a great success. Dansing commenced at 9 o'clock, and was kept up until the small hours. Miss K. was the belle, and, dressed in a pale blue silk, trimmed with white lace, looked bewitching. Mrs Hortney came in for second honours.
