A READY COURTIER.
In addition to being a thorough iniisicianv Madam Rudersdorff was a most entertaining woman. The stories of her life are full oi: interest. She was a great favorite with the Priucess Royal of England, who is now theCrown Priacess of Prussia. Shortly after the marriage of the Princess, Madam Rudersdorff sang at' a "Court conoertVat Berlin, and was invited by the Crown. Princess to breakfast with her. They breakfasted together iuformally, and afterwards Madam sang several songs of Handel's, the> Princess' favorite composer, her Royal hostess playing her accompaniments. After a while the Princess proposed a visit to the nursery. As Madam was sitting on the floor, with one child playing with the charms upon her watch-chain, another hanging over her shoulder, and the baby in her arms, thedoor opened, and the Crown Prince walked, in. The Princess arose and introduced hervisitor. Madam looked up, and, with her ready tact and wit, said, ' Your Royal Highness, I must either disregard Court etiquetteor drop the baby.' The Prince bowed, courteously, and said, with a smile, 'Do what you like with etiquette, but regard thebaby.
