' How does it happen, Bridget, that there areas many feet of gas charged for this month as last, when Mrs Blossom and myself have been out of town three weeks?' 'Sure, an' I can't tell, sor, savin' that whin the gintleman came to luk at the mayther there was six fate of coal an' wood on top of it, and he observed that I needn't bother wid it. He'd tak a luk at the praycaydin' figgers. Maybe he added the six fate of wood an* coal, I don't know.'
