The Auckland Tobacco Company have published a notice, signed by the Manager, stating that Mr August Vollbracht, formerly Manager of the. New Zealand Tobacco Graving and Manufacturing C6mpany, has no^cfonnection with their Company. This at present is only intended to injure, as it is well known that I resigned connection with the Company on the 8 th , November last. I am -well known all over New Zealand as the father of the tobacco manufacturing industry, and- have, a manufacturing lisense issued Before the Auckland Company's present manager knew anything about the business. Why do the farmers appeal to me 1 Eightyfour farmers have applied to me for help, so th&t the tobacco crop should not be a failure. I will help them even if I do not get the tobacco. How is it that all the working men of the Auckland Tobacco Company Lave been stopped this morning ? Is that a proper management ? Ido not need to be afraid about the farmers. . .
