An old Mormon's life is a marry one. It is not considered stylish to wear a cuff on the ear. A most unsatisfactory piece of sculpture is the " bust" of a boiler. A Boston girl never speaks of the " naked truth.' She refers to it as " truth divested of apparel.' England, it is said, brews more beer every year than Germany. Now we know v.'hv it is called " the tight little island." "My affections are wasted on you," he softly remarked to her, us he gently placed his arm where he thought it ■would do the most good. A Minneapolis minister in his sermon recently said : " All Europe is coining here.' In a report of the sermon the compositor made it read : " All Europe is crying hell.' '' Wonder how a quail feels on toast ?" said she, looking at the bird in a contemplative manner. " I should say," replied he, compressing his nostrils, " that this one felt very, much mortified."
