"WHY A SUGAR FIRM FAILED.
" Another big failure," said Smith as he opened his morning paper. " A big failure ?" queried his spouse. " Yes. A firm in Holland, who were engaged^in the wholesale sugar trade, have failed for £50,000." "Is it possible?" exclaimed Mrs Smith. " The recent reduction in the price of sugar caused their failure, didn't it ?" " I don't" know," said Smith. " I expect the reason of their failure was because the weather was too cold for anybody to dig sand."
