By cable we learn that the Waterloo Cup, which was decided last week, resulted as follows : — THE WATERLOO CUT, Of 64 subscribers, at £25 each ; winner to receive £500, second £200, two dogs £50 each, four dogs £30 each, eight dogs £20 each, and 16 dogs £10 each. It will be noticed that the two dogs that saw the end of the stake are by the same sire, Paris Miss Glendine, on November 8, at High Gosforth Park, divided the St. Leger, for

-I 150 puppies at £4 10s each, with Mr R. Gladstone's Fisherman, by Peter — Nellie.

Bit of Fashion, on November 7, at the Newmarket Champion meeting, divided the Champion Stakes, for 04 puppies at £7 l()s each, with Mr Vantage's Viking, by Leader — Meg Hill. In describing the running for this stake, BcWx Lift said : "Although Bit of Fashion did not run her first course smartly she improved as she went on, and if not a real flyer, it will always take something out of the common to lower her colours." Bit of Fashion, on December 27, at High Gosforth Park, divided with Mr W. Thompson's Lance Macpherson, by Macpherson — Stargazing, the Plessey Stakes, for 32 puppies. At the same meeting Mr Dent's Shaftoe, also by Paris — Pretty Nell, divided the Horfcon Stakes, for 16 all-aged greyhounds, with Mr W. Clart's Clinton, by Honeywood — Commerce. Paris, the sire of Miss Glendine and Bit of Fashion, is full brother to Princess Dagmar, that won the Cup in ISBI. Their grand dam, Gallant pulled off the Waterloo Plate in 1874. Gay City, brother to Miss Glendine, and Bit of Fashion's brother, View Holloa,, were each, respectfully, successful in in the Hampton Court Puppy Stakes, and the Cardinal Wolsey Stakes, at Kempton Park, in December last. It will be noticed that these pups are full of old Contango's blood.
