OPERA DRESSES.
•—Mrs. Culpan wore lavender silk. —Mrs. Waterhouse wore lavender silk. —The Misses Brookfield wore black and white, and black and scarlet. ■—Mrs. George Henderson was in a heliotrope muslin. —Miss C. Beale looked very pretty in a dark grey silk with wine coloured silk sash. —Miss Richmond wore a white dress trimmed with cream, and white and cream cap. —Mrs. Haines wore a lovely dress of cream, silk trimmed with cream of a darker shade, tight fitting bodice with elbow sleeves. —Miss Russell had on a pale blue - muslin trimmed with white lace. She looked well and the dress suited her. —Least perhaps of all the goodly assembly, but certainly not last, little Miss Julia George sat by the side of her great uncle Sir George Grey (hero of a hundred fights), in a pretty pale blue dress trimmed down the front with bows of pale blue silk.
