CAMPAIGN BY• GOVERNMENT.

The hope that acclimatisation socioties and game clubs throughout tho Dominion would give ■■ material assis-
tance toward the campaign of the Government for the extermination of
vermin and other pests which ; rey upon native and game birds wa.i expressed yesterday by the Minister for Internal Affairs, Mr. W. E. Parry. Tie said such societies could do much to keep down the spread of stoats, weasels, rats and hawks, all of which had voracious appetites for pheasants, ducks and other birds.
