Why Every Elector Should Vote on the Licensing Referendum Many New Zealanders are probably under the impression that the overwhelming majorities for Continuance have settled the issue. Although undoubtedly that should be the case, the Law requires that the Licensing Referendum must be conducted this year in conjunction with the Parliamentary Elections. There is the possibility that electors may feel that It is not necessary to record their votes on the issue. Neglect to do so might make the impossible become possible, allowing prohibition to be imposed upon New Zealand by a small minority. Consequently it cannot be made too clear how necessary it is for every elector to cast his or her vote for Continuance. VOTE CONTINUANCE STRIKE OUT THE TWOiBOTIOM LINES
