CAR COLLISION.
SEVERAL INJURED.
ONE MAN CRITICALLY.
ACCIDENT NEAR DANNEVIRKE,

On a bridge on the main road near the Danneyirke golf links a collision occurred yesterday morning between a car driven by Mr. J. Gildea, jnr., 91 Maharahara, and one. driven by Mr. R. d. Fairbrother, of Te Papakuku. In Mr. Gildea's car were Mr. J. Gildea, deur., chairman of the Maharahara dairy factory and a member of the executive of the National Dairy Association, Mrs. Gildea, senr., Mrs. Joblin and her two children. In Mr. Fairbrother's car was Mr. B. Coombes.
Mr. Gildea, senr., had both legs broken and his condition is critical. All the others suffered cuts, abrasions and shock, but with the excepTion of Mrs. Gildea they were able to return to their homes after treatment.
