MOA CROP STONES?
DISCOVERY AT FOXTON. Believed to be crop stones of the moa, a bag full of small white pebbles has boon deposited in the Wanganui Museum by Mr. Trickcr, of Foxton. These stones are generally found in numbers, often on beaches, and aro common on the West Coast of tho North Island. Until a few years ago decayed bones and fragments of broken egg-shells were found with them. It is seldom that these objects arc found with the stones now, being susceptible to the weather, while tho stones are indestructible.
