OPINION ON AUSTRALIANS. BETTER ENGLISH IN N.Z. A new difference between Australians and New Zealanders was mentioned by Mr. M. G. McCall, a member of tho Federal Government, in an address at a Chamber of Commerce luncheon at Christchurch. Mr. McCall had said that the two countries were very similar, and in his address he used the term “We,” meaning the two countries collectively.
“The only difference that I can see is that New Zealanders speak better English, while the Australians swear much more,” lie said.
