HOLIDAY IN DOMINION. Cousin Of Lady Galway. VIEWS EXPRESSED. ON INTERNATIONAL SITUATION. [By Telegraph.—Press Association] AUCKLAND, Dec. 23. Viscount Coke, first cousin to Lady Galway, arrived by the tourist vessel Orford this morning to spend a five weeks' holiday as the guest of their Excellencies, accompanied by his daughter, the Hon. Mary Coke. Viscount Coke said when he left England the international situation looked more hopeful, both as regards the war outlook and from the trade viewpoint. Speaking of visits last * year to Germany and Italy, he said he gathered the impression that the German people were very anxious to be the friends of Great Britain, but the Italians, after the imposition of sanctions, were anything but friendly towards Britain. Viscount Coke, who formerly was a major in the Scots Guards, witnessed the Italian Army manoeuvres, and in his opinion the Italian soldiers did not compare with those of Germany in physique or efficiency.
