OBITUARY.
i MR. JOSEPH FRASER. The death occurred yesterday in Auckland of Mr. Joseph Fraser, head of the firm of Fraser ana Son, of tho Phoenix Foundry. The late gentleman was on Thames in the early days, when the firm ran its own steamers to and ! from Auckland. The late Mr. Fraser I married Miss Smith, sister of Mr. W. I .Smith, of Thames. He leaves a wire ■ind three sons and one daughter. It is interesting to note that several )f the employees of Messrs. A. and G. Price's foundry learned their trade unler Mr. Fraser in Auckland before com;ng to Thames.
