COMPLETELY WRECKED.
MOTOR-CAR SOMERSAULTS
THREE PASSENGERS ESCAPE. ACCIDENT ON THE PLAINS. A coupe car, after leaving the road and somersaulting three times, finally
coming to rest against a tree, near Heaven's Corner, between YVaitakaru.ru and the Pokeno side of Marainarua, was completely wrecked on Saturday afternoon.
The car was driven by Mr. W. E Kennerley, of Auckland, and with hin was Mrs. Kennerley and child. The;; were coming to visit friends a Thames.
Mr. Kennerley was brought to the Thames- Hospital, and after receiving treatment was able to return home. Mrs. Kennerley and the baby escaped with a few bruises, but suffered from shock.
A wrecking car was sent from Auckland to recover the car, and in the course of salvage operations one of the engineers received a severe cut to the head when a jack gave way.
