For negligent driving, Clarence tt. Thomas was lined £lO in the Police Court, and £2 for driving without .sufficient lights. He was discharged for failing to report an accident.
Evidence showed that in the evening defendant used only his parking lights. After overtaking another car he struck a boy cyclist, whom the other driver, using his headlights, saw 400 yards away.
Defendant stated that the approaching lights dazzled him. He did not report the accident, as the boy appeared only dazed. An N ray subsequently revealed a. badly sprained wrist. The magistrate remarked that it was a border-lino case.
