EXIT RAGWORT.
AGRICULTURAL SALT. A SURE ERADICATOE. A correspondent to a Taranaki paper writes that for five years now he has successfully destroyed any ragwort appearing on his property by applications of agricultural salt. His method is this: He lias cut down a long-handle shovel and shaped it so that there Is an inward curve. This he keeps very sharp, and when ragwort plants are in a vigorous state of growth he cuts them off level to the ground and applies two handfuls of salt to what is left of the plant. In two or ffiree days everything is wilted right away and the plants never come up again.
