SPECTACULAR DISPLAY.
OHINEMUTU GEYSER. REACHES OVER SIXTY FEET. OBSERVE KS' COM MEN TS. [By Telegraph.—Press Association] ROTOR UA, June 18. Tor the first time since the exceptionally heavy rain experienced nearly three weeks ago, the geyser on the lake front at Ohinemutu burst into vigorous activity yesterday, the first shot reaching a height of more than 60ft. The geyser had shown signs of activity in the morning, and at about 12.30 o'clock it gave a very spectacular display whico attracted more than 30 persons to watch the flume of boiling water and steam rising into the air.
Observers said that it was the best display seen since tho geyser commenced its activity about four months ago. A second, although not so spectacular, shot was given during tho afternoon.
