Obtained Sustenance.
BY FALSE STATEMENT. MOTOR MECHANIC FINED. (Special to •'Star.") AUCKLAND, Oct. 30. A fine of £3O, with 10/- costs, in default three months' imprisonment, was imposed by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., on a motor mechanic, Thomas George Nelson, on a charge of making a false statement for the purpose of obtaining sustenance. The employment officer said that Nelson used two levy books and in 13 weeks obtained £29, sustenance to which he was not entitled.
