WOMEN'S GOLF FINAL
MISS WHITE-PARSONS LEADS
(By Telegraph.—Presa Association.) DUNEDIN, Oct. 30.
A poor standard of golf was witnessed over the first 18 holes in the final of the New Zealand ladies' j amateur championship at the Balmacewan course yesterday. Miss White-Parsons (Christchurch) was 2 up on Mrs. Scott (Timaru) at the end of the morning round. Miss White-Parsons played a straighter game, and was also hitting her seconds well, but her putting was poor. Mrs. Scott's form was too bad to be true, and during the round she had numerous duffed shot. The round may be described as a series of mistakes by Mrs. Scott and a chapter of last chances by Miss White-Parsons.
