Beef Values Firm.

WESTFIELD MARKET. TO-DAY'S QUOTATIONS. (Special to "Star.") AUCKLAND, Jan. 8. A slightly inferior quality in cattle was evident at the Westfield sale to-day. An average yarding came forward and bidding was steady. Ox beef sold at 32/- per 1001 b., the same as last week's price. The top price of £l2/fo/- was received for Shorthorn steers penned by Mr. N. G. Lichfield, of Patumahoe. Cow and heifer beef was of inferior quality but brought a good demand later in the sale.
