THE KING’S. “Living on Velvet,” which shows at the King’s Theatre to-night, is £ thrilling drama and most unusua triangular romance in which Kaj (Francis, George Brent and Warren William have the leading roles. Miss Francis is seen as a beautiful society girl, who is madly infatuated with a dare-devil aviator and marries him despite the objections of her family, and is driven to desperation by his carelessness and irresponsibility. The climax comes as an unsual surprise after a series of thrilling events. “Love at Second Sight,” also showing, is a romantic musical comedy featuring Marian Marsh and Anthony Bushell.

THE REGENT. “The Phantom Light,” showing at the Regent Theatre to-night, is the story of a haunted lighthouse, a lunatic and a gang of wreckers who plot the destruction of ships. Into this hotbed of intrigue plunge two men and a daring woman who have a series of most eerie and thrilling adventures. Most of the action takes place in a lonely lighthouse off the rugged coast of Wales. Gordon Harker and Binnie Hale are featured players. “I’ll Love You Always,” also showing, features Nancy Carroll and George Murphy in the romance of a young actress who gives up her career to marry a gi’aduate engineer.
