Open-Air Theatre.
NELSON PICTURES. FIRST IN DOMINION. INNOVATION TO BE TRIED. Plans are now Hearing completion for an open-air talkie theatre stadium for probably the first of its kind in New Zealand, according to a statement by Mr. E. Norden, manager of the Theatre Royal. The exact site has not yet been decided on, but there will be accommodation for 4000 people. Mr. Norden believes that this class of theatre, which is very popular in Australia, should, in a city like Nelson with a long summer and good winter weather, prove equally successful.
