WEEK’S ACTIVITIES. GOLF CLUB DANCE SUCCESS. Mrs. C. Maxted has returned to New Zealand after an extended holiday in England. She is the guest of Miss Morgan, Queen Street. 'Mrs. Darling, of Coromandel, is visiting her daughter-in-law, Mrs. G. Darling, Karaka Road. Mrs. Wilson, who has been tho guest of Mrs. W. Smith, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. Davies, of Taumarunui, is visiting Thames, and is staying with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. W. Davies, Parawai. Mrs. G. Campbell is the guest of Miss Makgill, Thornton’s Bay. Miss Ansenne has returned from a short holiday in Hamilton. Miss Val. Miller is at present on holiday in Auckland. GOLF BALL. There was a large attendance at the Majestic Ballroom on Thursday evening, the occasion being the final dance of the season organised by the Golf Club. The hall and supperroom were beautifully decorated with nikau palms, streamers and huge butterflies in the club colours, maroon and gold. The “19th hole” was well patronised during the evening. Tho Collegians provided very bright music, and extras were played by Mr. Vercoe.

The Ladies’ Committee responsible for supper arrangements and decorations were: Mcsdames Price (black and oyster grey floral georgette), R. Taylor (black satin beaute), G. Fisher (ivory angel-skin satin), Davies (midnight blue panne velvet), Clemson (pink organdie), and the Misses D. Griffin frilled organdie), 11. Steedman (cherry soft satin and organdie), It. Miller (emerald green panne velvet), L. Steedman (scarlet satin beaute), V. Miller (midnight blue angel-skin lace).

Among the dancers were: Mcsdames A. Steedman (blue georgette and lace), McCarroll (scarlet embroidered georgette), McCullough (black floral georgette), Pease (fuchsia flat crepe), L.
