“SMITHY” NEARS GOAL.
ARRIVES AT HONOLULU. , TWENTY-FIVE HOURS’ FLYING. (A. and N.Z. Cable.) HONOLULU, Oct. 30. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith and Captain P. C. Taylor, in the monoplane Lady Southern Cross, who took off from Naselai Beach, Suva, at 65 a.m., Suva time, yesterday, for Honolulu, en route to Los Angeles, arrived at the Wheeler Field airport here at 8.40 a.m., Honolulu time, after exactly 25 hours’ flying. The distance is 3290 statute miles.
