THAMES LADIES’ ASSN. GROUND QUESTION DEFERRED. At a meeting .of the Thames Ladies’ Cricket Association last evening, it was reported that at least four teams Avould be participating in the competition. The Hauraki Ladies’ Club is entering tAvo teams, and one each will be entered by the clubs being formed by the College Old Girls’ hockey players and the basketball players. Matters in connection Avith the clubs and the question of grounds were discussed. It was agreed to defer a decision in regard to a playing ground until the annual meeting of the Thames Cricket Association had been held. The unanimous opinion of the meeting was that, if possible, Rhodes Park should be the venue of matches. Miss A. Davidson having signified her inability to accept office on the committee, it was agreed to add Miss M. Campbell and Miss J. Morgan to the members of the executive. The Australian cricketers to-day played an exhibition match against the North of Scotland at Forres. Australia made 137 (Darling 31, Kippax 29). Braid took four Aviekets for 21. North of Scotland made 108 (Bramner 25, Peebles 28). All the Australians bowled with the exception of Kippax, Avho kept wicket.
