Alleged Assault.
TWO MEN CHARGED. REMANDED IN CUSTODY. Charged with assault of Lewis Mudgway, aged 58, of Tararu, on Saturday night about 11.45, so as fo cause actual bodily harm, Charles Lang, aged 51, labourer, of Thames, and Lewis Henry Isaacs, aged 27, labourer,, of Kauaeranga, appeared before Mr. S. Ensor, J.P., in the Thames Police Court-this morning. An application by Sergeant J. Daly for a remand to September 25 was granted. Accused will be held in custody.
