THE PLAINS COMPETITION. SATURDAY’S MATCHES The fifth series of matches in the second round of the Hauraki Plains Association’s competition Avere commenced on Saturday. At Waitakarum, G. L. Weir compiled a century and retired, his score including six sixes and nine fours. Details of the first innings are:— Waitakaruru, 159 (G. L. Weir 100, L. Berney 22, F. Donaghy 16—C. Walton 2/2, W.
