Roll Of Honour.
UNVEILED AT AUCKLAND. MOST IMPRESSIVE CEREMONY. One of the most impressive ceremonies in the history of the Auckland Province took place at the Auckland War Memorial Museum on Sunday, when His Excellency, Lord Bledisloe, Governor-General, unveiled the Roll of Honour of those who gave their lives in the Great War of 1914-IS. In a most eloquent speech, His Excellency paid feeling tribute to sacrifices made by not only those who had lost their lives, but those who had given their sons to make the world a better and safer place. After the official ceremony, the public filed past, and it was with some feeling of sadness and pride that one was able to notice many well-known Thames names figuring on that honoured roll.
The Roll itself, and the Hall of Memories, which enshrines it, should be the object of a pilgrimage, more particularly for the rising generation.
