Witness replied that on the average there was about one fire every two days. To a further question he replied that there would be about 200 fires in Wanganui each year. "How many real fires do you have flft Wanganui each year?" asked Mr Justice Frazer. "I mean fires that are not grass fires or chimney pots alight, or false alarms," he added, as a smile appeared on some of the faces in the Court Witness replied that about 12 fires of the sort referred to occurred every year.
