BASKETBALL.

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. REP. MATCHES ARRANGED. CHANGE OF SECRETARIES. The executive committee of the Thames-Hauraki Basketball Association met on Monday to arrange for forthcoming rep. matches with Auckland and Waiki, and to deal with the resignation of the secretary, Miss M. Russell, who is unable to carry on to the end of the season. A letter was received from Rovers A team (Auckland), asking for a match with the local rep. team at Thames on September 19. It was decided that this be accepted. Arrangements are in hand for sending the local A and B teams to Waihi on Saturday week. Upon receipt of the secretary's resignation, the president, Mr Craw-ford-Watson, spoke of Miss Russell's efficient work in that capacity. Miss K. Labarre, joint secretary, agreed to take on the sole secretaryship for the remainder of the season. As the first round of the Association's competition sho'uld be completed next Saturdayj the following draw for .the second round was submitted to the meeting and adopted: 1: Tui B v.
