Billing also batted nicely for 58, and Baker got 24. Gibson was the only bowler to be dangerous, getting three wickets at a cost of 53 runs. Tararu declared with 227 on the board for 5 wickets.

City batted freely, and could only get 53. of wliich the only doublefigure scorer was Crawford-Watson, with 14 not out. Morgan and Billing each took two wickets for 5, and Fox 2/4, whilst Otto took 4/17.

Following on,, Cfyy did better, putting on 8S for 6 wickets. Riekit made a nice 27, and Shaw 15. Morgan, Billing and Fox shared the wickets. Tararu thus won on the first innings. Details: —
