TAPU MEMORIAL PARK.
NEGOTIATIONS PROCEEDING.
APPROVAL OF LAND BOARD. The Thames County Council yesterday received notification from a (firm of solicitors that the sale of two native blocks of the area of Tapu Memorial Park been approved by the Maori Land Board. "These comprised about five acres, and- on the cost, £470, being remitted to them, the legal firm would forward the titles.
In addition, there were the costs of obtaining Maori owners' signatures, which ran into a further £SO. On the motion of the chairman, it was resolved to pay the money after April 1. .
