YESTERDAY’S RESULTS.

For the fourth day of the New Zealand championship tennis tournament, the semi-finals of the men’s and ladies’ singles, the finals of the ladies’ doubles and of the girls’ singles were the important matches played. The principal results were: Men’s Singles (semi-final). —D. G. France (Wellington) beat Seay (Canterbury), 6 —3, I—6,1 —6, 6 —2, 6 —2; Angas (Canterbury) beat Malfroy (Wellington), 6 —4, 6 2, 5—7, I—6, B—6. Ladies’ Singles (semi-final).— Mrs Melody (Wellington) beat Miss Marjorie Macfarlane (Auckland), 2—6, 7—5, 6—4; Miss D. Nicholls (Wellington) beat Miss Myers (iWanganni), 6 —3fi 6 —4. Ladies’ Doubles (final).—Misses Wake and Andrew (Canterbury) beat Mesdames Adams and Thomson (Wellington), 4 —6, 6 —2, 6 —3.
