The estate of the late Bishop Cleary has been sworn in at under £ISOO, which he bequeathed partly to the Church and partly to his nephew and niece, both of Melbourne.
The Bishop left precise directions concerning his obsequies. He forbade the playing of the Dead March in Saul on account'of ~ note'of hopelessness.'*• The steel helmet and other trophies collected by the Bishop while chaplain in France were bequeathed to the Sacred Heart Convent, Remuera.
