REPORTS OF MANAGERS.
Golden Age.—The drive on Fox's leader has been extended 7ft. for the week. The leader is 6in. wide and is carrying a high percentage of iron and copper pyrites. A good class of country is being met. Lucky Shot. —In the stopes north of the No. 2 winze the reef has made a splice, each portion being albout 12in. wide. .Colours of gold can he seen in the ore at each breaking down. In the drive south of the No. 2 winze we have started the leading stope. The reef shows a width of 2ft. of very heavily mineralised ore. No gold has been seen here this week hut the ore looks very promising. The battery is crushing full time with 10-head of stamps. Alburhia.—The leading stope on the main Orlando lode has been carried •along 87ft. and main timbers put in the level. The reef Here averages 3ft. wide and looks well, carrying mineral blend, antimony aria' silica. Dabs of gold are still seen in the ore. A start has been made to pump out the water in Gillan's winze on the hangingwall branch of the Orlando lode. This week I expect to have the water arid muck out to the bottom in readiness for work* ing. The rise on the cross leader from the drive north on the hangingwall branch of the Orlando lode has been risen 6ft., a total of 68ft. The reef here has opened out to 2ft. wide and looks very carrying nice bright mineral blend and silica. Dabs of gold were seen in the ore. The country on the hangingwall is still Bard and the" reef is tight on to the wall. The footwall country has improved. We have lost the hard rock., and have at present a solendid .class for making gold, being interlaced with quartz and flint stringers. The reef here is also straightening a little. .
OCCIDENTAL UNA MINE.
PICKED STONE SECURED
The manager of the Occidental Una Mine reported to-day that he had selected 51b. of picked stone from the new reef with gold still showing in the face.
